iD- v2 Brass Rod Desk

A sculptural writing desk that highlights the dialogue between wood, stone, and metal. The frame is crafted from solid walnut with clean, geometric lines, contrasted by a richly textured natural stone top whose veining introduces organic movement and subtle color shifts. A solid brass stretcher runs the width of the desk, bringing structural integrity and a quiet sense of refinement.

The desk’s materials are left honest — the walnut is finished naturally, the stone is celebrated for its unique markings, and even the small red inlay is cut from naturally red wood rather than paint or stain. This commitment to authenticity is central to my work: every piece is built by hand, from solid materials, with details that emerge from the character of the materials themselves rather than being imposed on them.
